The Power of Big Dreams – Make Your Longings Your Belongings!

What’s the one big dream you still don’t dare to say out loud?

This August, I found myself almost overwhelmed by people who not only dream big but also make those dreams happen. In my work with leaders and changemakers, I see this courage often and I never get tired of it. These are people who walk the talk, fail forward, get up, and keep going. They invest time, energy, and resources into looking deeply within themselves to find the soul-utions (I love this term from my master coach Alyssa Nobriga) that change not only their own lives but ripple into the lives of others. That, to me, is true leadership.

From a little shop in Madrid

Recently in Madrid, I passed by a tiny shop called “La tienda de los deseos” – “The Shop of Wishes” in Calle de la Escalinata, close to the Opera Theatre. I didn’t enter (we were already late, running together with my husband for dinner with friends – classic ?) but my curiosity led me to learn more. I found out that the shop was run by Daniela Camino, who turned her creativity and belief in dreams into a business that sparks joy for thousands. Simple? Yes. Cheesy? Maybe. But powerful? Absolutely.

Her story reminded me: when we follow our soul direction, we give others permission to smile, reflect, and dream too.

So, what’s your soul direction? And if your rational brain is at the steering wheel, know this: it’s never too late to switch drivers.

Lessons from a rally track

Another highlight of August was attending the Saarland-Pfalz Rallye St. Wendel with my husband David. (No spoilers here – subscribe for free to “@gruszkacytryna” his automotive passion YouTube channel to get notified about the next episode:

My takeaway? Even in a sport where only one driver makes the podium, there were winners everywhere: in the pits, on the track, in the support teams. Because real winning is about passion, persistence, teamwork, and the courage to pit-stop, reflect, and adjust. The race isn’t only about horsepower – it’s about the human x-factor.

The case for being “Unrealistic”

For years, I was all logic, analysis, and many times overengineering. Useful, sure – to some extent. But when I started listening to the whispers of my intuition more consciously about a decade ago, everything shifted. I discovered that being unrealistic is often the best thing you can do for your dreams.
Imagine aiming for a dream so big it feels absurd – and then reaching even 70% of it. Wouldn’t that be incredible?
Visionaries like Vishen Lakhiani, founder of Mindvalley, reminded me this month, as I follow some of the Mindvalley quests and guided meditations, that resilience, deep listening, and daring to trust your intuition are essential to making dreams real.

Dancing the dream

And then came Gaga (funny that it’s so similar to my nick name Aga). No, not Lady Gaga but the Gaga Movement Language, created by choreographer Ohad Naharin. I recently discovered it here in Mainz where I live and was blown away after just one workshop. It’s not about steps; it’s about reconnecting to body, mind, heart and soul. It’s shaking off stress, releasing what doesn’t serve, and moving from curiosity.
Another big dream turned global movement – because someone dared to follow their creative longing.

Here’s my truth I want to share with you:

It is abso-f**king-lutely possible to live a fulfilled life and make your longings your belongings – if you are willing to listen deeply, engage fully, and discover what makes your heart sing. To uncover your true values (not the ones someone told you to follow). To grow your strengths, release your limits, and contribute to others and to this planet we all share.

So, what’s your big dream? And what pit-stop, step, or small act of courage will you take today to get closer to it?
With deep gratitude to all leaders and changemakers who dare to dream, care enough to act, and keep creating positive impact.

I’m proud to be in your club!

And if you’re not in it yet, I warmly invite you to join.
